Understand and interpret technical requirements

· Establish and maintain close technical liaison between the GDC and their internal customer (Bristol or
Amsterdam)
· Guide and motivate your team
· Control the quality of delivered work
· Identify, inspire and mentor future technical leaders
Successful candidates are likely to hold, or have held, delegated Approval Signatory status for airframe stress
certification.
In the first instance, they will assure the quality of wing certification work by supervising the work processes
and overseeing the production of concise and coherent stress dossiers. Confidence in the leader, earned by
successful delivery performance of their team, will attract more diverse and challenging assignments such as
problem-solving, methods development and design support.
(Subsequent to interview, an exceptional candidate may be considered for the role of Chief Engineer.)
Requirements
Engineering education to degree level
Ten years’ working experience relevant to the role
Evidence of problem identification and resolution in your technical domain
Evidence of ability to structure concise and coherent technical reports
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Substantial experience working in a commercial environment
Ability to understand and interpret airworthiness requirements
You will have in-depth experience in at least two of the following:
Hand analysis methods for structures using first principles
Finite Element modelling of structures
Fatigue and Damage Tolerance
Composite Materials
