Job purpose
Responsible for providing guests with great food and superior service, in line with the Premier Inn standards. In doing so it is expected that all efforts be directed towards guest satisfaction and hence high departmental profitability whilst maintaining company standards of operation, sanitation, accident prevention and team work. Lead the F&B operation and team to deliver extraordinary service by ensuring delivery of Premier Inn brand standards and achievement of Premier Inn business objectives; Lead activity designed to maximise revenue opportunities through appropriate local promotions and strategies.
Key Accountabilities
1. As an F&B Manager you will be responsible for both elements of Food & Beverage department i.e. Production and Service
2. Lead and motivate the team on a daily basis to assist in maintaining Premier Inn brand standards
3. Performance Evaluation of all staff members in the department
4. You will ensure the reception runs smoothly and efficiently all day, every day, and our guests are well looked after.
5. In line with the Premier Inn brand standard, you will also be an active member of the duty roster.
6. To ensure that all kitchen staff are constantly trained to effect good portion control and pleasing presentation of all dishes.
7. To ensure that all menus are correctly calculated to ensure maximum gross profit.
8. To ensure that all stocks are ordered to the correct quantities, quality and price. To ensure that sufficient stocks of all materials are being kept and stored under the correct conditions.
9. Develop local suppliers for cost effective alternatives
10. Responsible for the food in staff cafeteria
11. To ensure the prompt and efficient service of all meals, snacks, functions and beverages to the required standards
12. To ensure that profit margins are maintained, agreed costs are not exceeded through effective control systems, including issuing against dockets, sales analysis, menu costings and cash checks
13. To be fully conversant with all statutory requirements regarding a food and beverage operation that all licenses, including special licences, are timeously applied for and that the conditions affecting the issues of a liquor licence are not jeopardised
14. Use leadership skills to enhance customer service levels and develop the team whilst maintaining efficient and accurate accounting procedures
15. To be fully aware of trends in the industry and make suggestions for improvement of the F & B operation.
16. Active involvement to generate sales by way of sales calling |

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
• A deep understanding and commitment to the value of delivering and maintaining brand standards
• Hotel Management Graduate or equivalent education
• Experience of managing Food and Beverage operation at supervisory level with 4-6 years of relevant experience in 3/4/5 star hotels.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Able to work as part of a team.
